Road to normal

The Road to Normal – Or Not?

Recently I was talking to a friend about the impact of Covid-19 and she asked me the million-dollar question ;

How soon are we going to get back to normal?

Normal- that got me thinking what is Normal? yes, some things will go back to how they were, however, many things won’t.

How do we adapt?

Usually, when we are faced with a major challenge just like the one we are facing, there is always a NEW NORMAL. And unless we accept the fact and stop dwelling on the past, it’s hard to move forward.

Let’s use an example

Think about this scenario for a minute, someone having an unfortunate accident and ends up losing both of his legs. He can’t sit there waiting for the “OLD Normal” to come back. If he does, he can’t move forward. Once he realizes and accepts the NEW NORMAL, he will be able to see new potentials.

Lessons from human history

As a human race we are ingrained with the ability to adapt, that is how we have survived thousands of years of change. Each of us has the innate ability to be resilient and thrive beyond our imagination.

What does this mean to your Business?

Stop dwelling on “when things will go back to normal”. Face the new rules in business. Have you pivoted into new strategies? Have you re-evaluated your marketing and adjusted your sails? Have you started to train your Team taking them to higher levels ? have you kicked up your customer service? have you reassessed what your customers are expecting from you and your business?

Yes, More & More Questions

Yes, a thousand questions and we can ONLY SEE THE ANSWERS, if we face and accept the new normal and start to look at new potentials and opportunities.

Lead Don’t Follow

To say the world as we know it has changed is an understatement.
Covid-19 has impacted every heart and every mind. It has created a level of uncertainty that is unprecedented.

If you have been severely impacted with all this, remember this quote:

Never be afraid to fall apart because it is an opportunity toΒ rebuild yourself the way you wish you had been all along.’
